    Default Standard IVF timeline

    Hi,
I know the general process (ie period, medication, scan, pickup, embryo transfer), but what are the typical days associated with this process?
What medications are taken when and for how long?
    L

It varies quite a bit depending on which protocol you are on. The long down reg all up takes about 2 months. The short antagonist cycle starts stim meds generally on day 2 till ovulation time (varies but around 10-12 days) then trigger and egg pick up I think 36hrs later then they either transfer embie 3 or 5 days later and then testing 10-14 days later

Are you trying to plan things around your cycle? You'll need to be pretty available for three weeks basically. There's quite a few blood tests for monitoring in addition to egg pick up and embryo transfer. Hard to predict what days things will fall on. Once you've got the embryo on board (we call that PUPO - pregnant until proven otherwise) then you're off the hook and left to your own madness for roughly two weeks till there's the all important blood test.
