@ShannyAnny Sorry to hear you're feeling down If you don't mind me asking, has the problem been failure to implant? Or recurrent miscarriage? I really hope the haematologist can give you some answers. How have you found LB in comparison to your previous FS? Is she exploring more/different avenues?

As for us, we decided to go ahead with PGD testing rather than undertake another cycle. Really hoping the odds are with us I booked in my follow up appointment with LB for 28 November.
@Phia I double checked the Christmas shut down dates today. I was told the last date transfer can occur is 20 December. What day in the cycle does FET occur? And is there some sort of prep in the lead up? I just finished my period so no way will I have started again by 22 November. I'm really hoping I can transfer before Christmas

@seasalt - a transfer differs depending on how you're travelling - my transfer was on day 19 of my cycle. So, say your period starts in 1 December you'd be having the transfer on 20 Dec. But it's different for diff women depending on whether you FS thinks you're ready (from blood test results).

@ShannyAnny I'm sorry that you didn't come out feeling like you had new hope - although perhaps good to get a diff opinion with another specialist. You've been through a lot hon, big hugs for a big day x

When does the FS make this call? Should I already know this if I were to have any chance of transfer this year?

I'm sorry if you've already mentioned this, but have you seen LB yet? She needs to give instructions to your nurse. But in the meantime, ring your nurse, ask her. Just let her know what day you are in your cycle. Good luck!

@Phia Not post EPU - will be seeing her on the 28th to discuss PGD results.

I'll ring my nurse tomorrow. Thanks for your help

@seasalt she will dev be able to tell u on the 28th, if you call your nurse she can ballpark the dates with you to check the likelihood of a transfer this year with her. All the best

Default Lynn Burmeister Monash IVF-feedback wanted please #6

Been a little quiet lately as I have been feeling quite low but came on to check up on you @Phia to see if you have tested yet. Sorry to see on a different thread that your line has faded. I've been thinking of you and was really hoping that this cycle would work out for you. It's great that you have plans for next year with another transfer and de so that you have a way forward from here. @seasalt the issue we have is implantation failure. We have transferred 8 blasts (of which two were PGD tested) but still no baby for us I spoke to an adoption and foster care agency yesterday about attending an information session next year so we can have a better idea of our options. Not ready to give up on IVF just yet but I am feeling so much better since the phone call yesterday and knowing that those wheels are in motion.

Oh and @seasalt I am pretty happy with LB so far. I don't blame her for our last disastrous cycle and agree with her suggestions for our next cycle. Also I told her I have a consult booked with Dr M and she was totally fine with it

@ShannyAnny thank you - it's the crap part of this IVF journey! The roller coaster of highs and lows glad you're feeling good about LB.

I'm gonna call Dr M and get checked before transferring what's left.
