How did you go @Phia? I'm booked in for EPU on Monday. My follicles were pretty uneven in size and have ended up with about 6 the right size.

@ShannyAnny Monday, that's great! How r u feeling about it? Is this consistent with previous experience? I had my day 6 scan, and about 7 follies on one and 8 on the other - but still very small so next scan is on Tues. starting orgalutran on Sunday. My day 5 blast rate isn't great 1 or two. I'm 40 so my egg quality is crap. FX for your EPU on Monday!!

@Phia, not feeling too great about it to be honest especially since we are doing PGD. Not sure how many if any embryos we will have at the end of this. We do normally go pretty well with fertilisation and growing to day 5 but 6 isn't a great number to start with and who even knows if we will get 6 eggs. Last cycle the trigger shot failed to work correctly, we were expecting about 10 mature eggs but only got 2. Out of those 2 we ended up with one PGD normal blast so were pretty lucky considering how devastated I was after EPU. Our previous egg collections have resulted in 4, 7, 9 and 2 eggs so in comparison 6 wouldn't be too bad especially if quality is OK. I'm almost 36 and egg quality seems ok but implantation seems to be the problem for us even with PGD tested blasts. Best of luck for Tuesday and let me know how you go!

I can completely understand the disappointment, @ShannyAnny. I'm really sorry. It's such a roller coaster all of this and it sounds like you've been on this ride for a while. Does LB offer anything new to consider?
Is it a matter of the numbers game? It seems so strange how different women have so many variables to getting pregnant its phenomenal that it happens naturally. I have my fingers crossed for you. I've never tried acupuncture for transfer - have u? I'm going to give it a crack this time around, get it done on the same day after transfer. Big hugs.

@Phia, this is my first cycle with Lynn and she does have a few different ideas more so in relation to when we do the transfer. Yes we have been doing this for a while and this is cycle 12 for us (combination of stim cycles and FET's) with no baby. I have been doing acupuncture ever since our second cycle. It can't hurt and may help so I figure why not. I have also had 2 acupuncture sessions this stim cycle as well. I go to Bump acupuncture and have had a good experience with them. Transfer day (both before and after transfer) is the most important time to do it so hopefully this makes all the difference for you. It amazes me that anyone can get pregnant by just having sex let alone those who are not even trying!!
