Has anyone been told that if they have less than 5 follicles to not bother with egg pick-up and just do a trigger and try naturally??

I met with Lynn again yesterday after 4 failed IVF attempts. I mentioned that we're waiting for a few months to save up some cash before we start again. After looking at my notes again we discussed that after the next time we've probably not got many more options. She then said not to waste my money if I have less than 5 and just trigger and try naturally (I have issues with number of eggs and quality).

What I don't understand is why didn't they give me that option last time when I only had 3 follicles? She's now put a note on my records to say anything less than 5 to trigger and try naturally.

I appreciate that it's trial and error but if we'd have been given that option last time we might have been able to afford an extra go at IVF!

Rant over, sorry just had to get it out there. Frustrated!!

Agree @lileitak, you have to speak up or else nothing changes. I voiced all my concerns to Lynn, how I felt rushed etc and she understood and my last experience with her was much better. You need to speak up if you want something changed.

Hi @dalym, yes I can understand your frustrations, really do. I haven't heard that before about anything less then 5. Sounds like we find something new every time we go in for another cycle - I just wish they came out and told us everything at once and did all the tests at once too.

Forums are about getting feedback arent they? Whether that is good or bad and we make our decisions based on feedback, people don't have to read the negative comments.
IVF is so expensive and I've already paid for 3 unsuccesful cycle's so you bet I am going to ask for feedback whether that be good or bad and vent my exprience's to help others

Ok can you maybe assist me with the name of one that meets my expectations which are; The FS I pay for doing the scans, making decisions on EPU and my meds, doing the transfer? Not a long waiting list for donor sperm?

I originally started at city fertility - the FS did all the above (not sure about donor sperm as didn't need that option) but i loved the personal touch of seeing one person from start to finish.
unfortunately it didnt give us the results we wanted and switched to Lynn. Yes we felt 'palmed off' to the nurses but thats how they do things at monash and i had to accept that. In the end we got our baby but i can understand your frustration. Have you looked at city fertility?

Yes, I was with City initially, I think Monash are the only one's that run like that using the nurses I mean

Default Lynn Burmeister Monash IVF-feedback wanted please #6

Per Riss at the top of this page MelbIVF is the same as Monash.
@lissimmo - were you aware of Lynn's demand before you went to her? If age is your only factor, you may do well with another FS.
