Phony whenever mine loses suction there is always something stuck in it. Twice its happened in the curve where it goes from hose up into the ball so can be tricky to see & get out. But the suction always goes straight back to awesome once it's clear. Might be worth investigating. My DS also cracked the handle recently which caused loss of suction but I have fixed that with Loctite until I can get a new handle piece.

Thanks for your feedback everyone! I went and checked them out, was tossing up between the Electrolux and the Dyson and eventually chose the Dyson. Strange to say but am excited about vacuuming tonight.

A handheld - the model before the stick one.
And a handheld stick - which is by far my favourite. Ive had it for 3.5yrs now and use frequently (like twice daily)
