My daughter's bookshelf is becoming very uninspiring. She is almost 5 and alot of the books we have are now too babyish for her... and since i read to her every night i would be glad of a change in material too!
I thought i would do a book advent calendar and wrap a book for each day from the 1st december. I will get some from op shops and market stalls but i wanted to get a few new ones too. So need to hit the shops or start ordering up online now.

I did it last year for my 5. They lived it. It hit the op shops big time.

There have been sooooo many incredible picture books this year.
This list is American
And there are so many more I can't even think of any off the top of my head!
I have a list at work for our website so tomorrow I can add a bunch of Aussie ones.
I heard of this idea last year on Bubhub and I'll definitely be doing it this year- I'm doing a promo at the library- borrow 24 books (including one Xmas themed one) in a pack, make your calendar and then post pics on the library FB page to win a set of Christmas picture books
In fact, any Melbourne hubbers who are interested can pm me and I can give you the details!

We did this with dd last year. She was only 2.5yrs but thought it was amazing getting a present every night (the 'Christmas elf' bought it after dinner)
I cheated, my cousin gave me a huge box of books around November so I went through and wrapped them have fun!

I did this last year with our little boy and am doing it again this year. I've been buying Christmas books all year from The Book Depository and now have a wonderful collection for him to open each night. I know he'll love it!

I'm doing it this year. They are all Christmas themed books. I just counted them though and I'm 3 short. Will have to get some more.

Our favourite book in this house (aside from all things Dr. Seuss) is a quirky, funny book called "I want my hat back". I can't recall the author (I'll look it up and come back). @FearlessLeader have you heard of this book? 😃
