    @maternidade I think they may have meant not for feeding to other animals like snakes etc, not human consumption.

    I think you are right there.

    Regarding the consumption of said animal they are actually a different 'breed' and are wild. Pretty much like us eating a kangaroo (my DH said there isn't much too them anyway - the equivalent of a quail in the bird kingdom if that makes sense)
