Im not sure @bbhope how it works for formula but feeding every two hours is pretty normal. All the babies in my mothers group feed with a similar frequency and some of those are formula fed.

I've had two reflux bubs. The best thing you can do for them is keep them upright as much as possible during the day. That way the churning doesn't build up wind. I noticed that on days when I had been shopping ad DD was upright in the pram she slept better. So buy a carrier and wear him, long walks propped up in the pram, and when he's older an activity station to sit in.

I believe the best formula is goats milk formula. My pead recommended it and if helped a lot!!! Much easier to digest on their bellies.

Infants friend is great too. Also try infacol. They work in different ways. Infants friend is a natural mix of herbs etc that settles their belly. Also helps them poo I think. Infacol makes the wind in their belly one big burp that's easier to get up.

Good luck! It does pass but it takes a while.

@Wise Enough: how do u administer infant friend? Can you add direct to bottle? How often? We haven't found it effective but might just be we are administering wrong.

I found an improvement when we gave it to ds directly in his mouth with a syringe right before a bottle. I was previously putting it in his milk.

I would just add a capful to every bottle, but I can't remember what age I started this. It was quite young though.

Would you use losec and colic mixture together?

I believe they can be used in conjunction with each other. I've used losec & Infants friend while my friend was recommended, by her GP, to use losec and infacol. So losec once a day and infacol with each feed.

What's the best way to tilt the cot mattress? We use the some books but a wedge shape type of thing might be better.

Thanks @ScubaGals. Will see if the losec helps him sleep.
