Default How to clean a shaggy rug

    Question is just that!

We have a microfibre shaggy rug in the lounge which is very hard to vacuum and full of pet fur. I really what to give it a good clean. Does anyone have any tips?

A decor rubber broom sweeping it will get an amazing amount of pet hair out of it. Brilliant on pet hair from any carpet but it is a workout. I used a normal carpet shampooer machine on my shaggy rug (after turning it upside down to shake out all the sand!) and it was ok but not great.
