    I kept them using blankets but still had bed doonas on them in case they wanted to use that instead.

    My DD uses a sleeping bag and a doona. I used both in the early stages when she moved into a toddler bed hoping to ditch the bags but she still wants it. It was 27 in her room last night and she still wanted both!
