You will usually find the fewer eggs collected the better quality ( not all cases, I know ) you will never see people with a large amount of egg freeze the lot and you will quite frequently see women with a smaller amount able to freeze them all.

I collected 6 eggs, 5 fertilised, i transferred 1 on day 3 ( which failed ) and my remaining four made it to blastocyst stage and we're frozen.

We can travel once the first 6 weeks are done which is right on Xmas so going away after will be fine... Plus it's only a 2 and half hour flight to Adelaide might not happen yet as still trying to find a nice beachside holiday house down south as would rather go down there but left the run a little late
Oh that's good to know about flying. I had no idea there were restrictions on that, and we're flying up to the Gold Coast for Christmas. Chances are I won't be preggers, but if a miracle happens I'll be just on 6 weeks when we go up. Do you know why they say not to fly?

I originally got told I had 16 eggs retrieved but it was actually only 14. All of them fertilised but by Day 3 we only had 11 left and by Day 5 we only had 8 left that were considered good enough to freeze by the clinics standards. So I guess my rate was over 50%

@ttc1981 the PGD counts chromosomes that's it... It's not to look for any condition, rules out the chance of miscarriage due to a chromosome defect... PGD transfers have a higher success rate about 60% 👌🏻

Because of our ectopic/mc history over the last 8 years it seemed like the next step.. Kinda wish we had done it first round too now

Hi All, quick update on me- had my scan & bloods today and have a lining of 6.7mm (day 8) & one follie at almost 20mm, apparently really high E2 as well so FS has ordered another BT tomorrow to try to avoid missing the LH surge (I'm guessing)......going to be a bit of a struggle as am nowhere near a pathology clinic tomorrow and have back to back meetings all day arrrggghhhh.....my body never does things the easy way! May have to get up super early and drive to the nearest major centre that's about 2 hours away and try to push back some appointments......

As for diet, I am Coeliac, so am always gluten free, but over the past 2+ years of trying to conceive and finding out I have Endo (so trying to reduce xenoestrogens, oestrogen dominance etc) have also gone organic, sugar free, alcohol free, caffeine free, dairy free and basically fun free!! To date no joy for me.......I wonder if it's all been worth it......had my consult with immune specialist today also and he thinks I have some clear markers for immune related issues with implantation- so will do some tests and go from there- hoping to get some answers!!

oh and I thought that PGD did check for genetic disorders? Mine did I'm pretty sure.

Welcome to the newcomers, good luck to those POAS too. Xo

Hi ladies - silly phone playing up so trying to get the other posts to load but they won't. So apologies - will catch up on everyone's news soon!

Had another u/s today ... Endo lining about 7.5mm ... Was 6.9ish on Monday. So coming along but very very slowly! We are holding off and doing another u/s on Monday.

Had my first acupuncture on Tues. was relaxing and hopefully it will help. Have another session tomorrow when we can hopefully get at least one more in before we are go for transfer.
