    Default Primary IVF

I am currently a patient with genea for OI and although I would like to stay with them hubby reckons they are too expensive and we could try elsewhere first for IVF. IVF is our next step.
What are your experiences with primary IVF? What is the difference in comparison to the big private clinics?

We have a Primary IVF thread if you want to read through that. Ive just finished our testing & Im set to go next cycle. Its simple, its not warm & fuzzy and I am yet to put hand in pocket. I have nothing to compare it to though. Ive had all female Dr's & sonographer.

I wasn't sure they offered that like the other clinics.

I think mostly their service differ i.e. we waited 2 hrs after our appointment time the other day but the specialist took her time to explain everything to us

Hopefulangel i wish you all the best. It will be alot less invasive for you and fingers crossed you only need to go once. Ive read alot of positive feedback on Primary.

Our 2 appts with the GP then specialist have all been spot on time. Hoping my nurse appt follows suit, as I am going in my lunch hour.

@hopefulangel1987 - was there a criteria that you had to meet in order to 'qualify' for an IUI?

Did the specialist explain why they didnt think straight IVF would be good for you?

The specialist gave us the option of IUI and IVF and she recommended we try IUI first as were both in in our late 20's and have unexplained fertility. The criteria was that my fallopian tubes had to be unblocked otherwise IVF would b the only option
