As far as the authorities are concerned Australia is able to meet the Australian and Chinese market hahaha! Until they admit it can't nothing will be done.

Eta-even the European market is struggling.

You should not give cows milk to bubs under 12 months. The supply issue is with the infant formula, not the follow-on - which can be subbed with milk.

Default Bellamys organic what is going on?

Wow, I didn't realise the shortage was for follow-up as well! I assumed it was infant only.

Serves me right for skim reading.

    Whoops.

God, I hope breastfeeding goes better with belly bub than it did with DS! Luckily I have pretty much a full tin left in case I do need it because Bellamy's is the best! Now is not the time to waste it but when DS was on formula it was like "one scoop for the bottle, one scoop for me!".

Yip. I checked again today and now all steps of S26 Gold are out also. So thats ALL steps in ALL 3 brands.

Monnie, I'm definitely giving the organic cows milk a whirl.

I've been reading along in the hopes that I could work it out.... But why is formula being sent to China? I've clearly missed a big news story...

Because a few years back, some Chinese formulas were found to have melamine contaminants leading to the deaths of many babies. Despite the Chinese formulas now being deemed "safe", many prefer to use imported formula from Australia where our regulations are much stricter.
