I'm so darn excited it's getting so close! Would anyone else like to join this Christmas tragic and share their joy?

I'm super excited this year as DS is old enough to get excited! I had a super proud moment the other day when explaining xmas to him, and I told him that he gets to see all of his family and he will get presents, which he seemed quite happy and excited about, then when I said that he will get to give presents to his cousins he got so excited and got the biggest smile and started clapping saying "I give *cousin present!!". Awww, generous little fella.
I'm so tempted to get the tree and decorations out now!! Must hold back!
Anyone else already finished xmas shopping?

Aww!! How adorable!! I think it is so exciting when they start to 'get' it. I have just started shopping however we are paid monthly so I have to budget around pays coming in.
My 4 year old wants a remote controlled monster truck but we are so sick of buying remote controlled toys that can stand up to a rough 4 year old. We will have to have a good look around.
The kids asked the other day if we could put up the tree. I am so tempted but we will wait for Dec 1st. They don't know it yet but we are taking them to our capital city's Christmas pageant. We haven't been before but have always wanted to and they are finally old enough to go.

I LOVE Christmas and as the kids get older its getting better
Ds is still too young but dd really gets into it. I love doing the christmas traditions I have started with them and watching the tragic christmas movies.
We are staying at my inlaws while our house is getting renovated so we will do the tree at their house dec 1st then put ours up when we move into the new house.
I have got the kids presents but need to get everyone else plus dd's teachers I want to get them something special.

Another christmas lover here!
This year ds3 is old enough to be excited which is exciting 😁
We are going to Perth for our usual family festivities. Love decorating the house for MIL, everything Christmas. Love it.
This will be our first christmas without FIL though 😕

I love, love, love Christmas! I've got my Christmas carols ready to go and can't wait to put the tree up. I've just ordered some beautiful Christmas books to read to the kids in the lead up to Christmas Eve.
I have not, however, bought any presents so I better get cracking!

Besides the meaning of christmas itself for us it's about giving (and not just to our loved ones, we give to those less fortunate, leave gifts under the kmart tree etc) family being together, beautiful music, decorations, lights, singing christmas carols, special food.
Love the magic, the business. Everything 🎄
And I have very nearly finished my xmas shopping 😉

Yes, I'm excited! Although we are doing it all alone (no visitors) this year, so might try to hook up with local friends. Otherwise I guess it will be just me, DH, and the two littlies. Might try to think up something exciting to do rather than just stay home. Maybe camping?
I've already bought the kids "big" present, a wooden dollhouse to share. Bought it online and haven't assembled it yet, I am *so* tempted to just put it together and start playing with it now... the kids, start playing with it, I mean.. not me...
Not sure about gifts for others, it's a lean year for us so the emphasis will probably be more on delicious foods and drinks and things than pressies.
Waiting until 1st December to put up the tree....

Christmas has always been my favourite time of year as my parents made it so magical for us as kids and we carried on with loads of gifts etc even when Santa was out of the picture. We had fabulous food, carols, church, crappy tv (cold winters in Ireland).
My dd will be 2.5 this year and knows who Santa is so it should be pretty exciting, number 2 is due end December but I'm hoping she'll be here mid dec. I would hate to miss Christmas!
I am totally disorganised this year as we have just relocated from Sydney to Gold Coast, hubby is still in Sydney so I have no help. He's up next weekend so will hopefully get things started!!
