Default How would you feel if:

It was your bday next week, you can't really celebrate at all during the week because your child is in for surgery on your bday (which is fine) but your DH then decides to go to someone else's 'head wetting' from midday Saturday until probably the early hours of Sunday morning, therefore hungover Sunday.

I wouldn't like it whether it was my birthday or not.

Weekends are family time in our house. But if he did go he wouldn't be hungover the next day. And if he was it would be business as usual. You don't get a day off for something self induced.

I think there'd be bloodshed if my dh pulled a stunt like that.

but from all your previous posts OP, this sounds like nothing new as far as your dh is concerned.

wtf is a head wetting anyway?

When someone has a baby then all the guys go out drinking to 'wet the head'

Its all the norm with his group of mates. 😢

How would i feel? Id feel good when i get the locks changed. Poor form on him for going out when he should be doing something special with you or even helping out with the child who has had surgery.

    That wouldn't fly with me.

Your birthday should come before someone else's 'head wetting'.

I would just say sorry that's when I've moved my birthday to. We're doing presents and cake then and you're cooking me a lovely dinner.

I don't see birthdays as a big deal to be honest. I've had too many of them.

My DH used to get together with his mates when one of them had a baby so I understand the desire to do it. But never for half a day and not with a hangover the next day. It's not fair.

but your kid is in surgery. so getting sh*tfaced on account of someone else's kid getting born (weak excuse to get drunk btw) is more important than your own child having surgery?

he sounds like a douche. I'm sorry. I don't know how you've managed to not kick him out.
