What is it about plain white shirts disappearing in this house?! My daughter has a few skirts, shorts and pants which only go with plain white tops. I have bought her 4 white tops in her current size and all but one are lost and the one that isn't lost has a big mark on the front of it!

So I decide to have a nice long walk on the beach and really enjoy my maternity leave freedom while I still can. Then I find a nice, tranquil shady spot under a tree and set up my towel. Pop in for a quick swim, only to come back and discover that 2 young women, complete with babies and prams have set up camp literally less than 1 metre from my towel. The beach isn't crowded. Wtaf?!

The mental health system sucks. It sucks that you can be discharged at a time when you are not safe to do so. It sucks that you can be discharged from the ward to home alone when you are due to be admitted to a step down facility for a month or so because you aren't trusted to be safe at home. It sucks that somehow it is expected that I will stay safe all weekend at a point when I don't want to when the option was there for containment as has happened all week.

Why is it when I have any time away (just the weekend) I come back exhausted with 100000 loads of washing to do! I caught up before we left but now have at least 4-5 loads (towels due to beach/pool, bought new clothes for belly bub and for me, the clothes we wore on weekend etc etc).

So far today I am on my 3rd load of washing, had to empty the dishwasher (DH knew it was clean because he asked me! But left it!), put away all the clean stuff/toys/bags, clean up DS's lunch mess. And DH wanted me to cook dinner!

Also, big day tomorrow. Morning is the ob then afternoon is 'meet the carers' at DS's childcare. So I will spend all day out of the house. Too many things to do before baby! Eeeek!

DS has 3 Mickey Mouse dvd's. He's insisted on watching the same one over and over. For the last week.

I wish my toddler came with a mute and off button. He talks so much. Non stop. And repeats the same thing until he yells it. Then when you say 'inside voice' he continues blabbing in whispers.

I spent so much time shushing and half heartedly 'chasing' him (aka keeping him in my line of sight at the shops) I am exhausted. And just want silence.

Yikes! My DS had a DVD with bubble guppies and umi zoomi (it was a Christmas snow one) and watched the bubble guppies one 100000000 times. Argh!
