I did it for 3 months 3 nights a week 4.30 to 9.30. I had the same hours and the same days the whole time. I quite enjoyed it, mostly it was older people and mums from school wanting a bit of extra cash. I was offered another position picking the online orders too but the hours didn't suit.

Thanks for all the replies...I'm going to go for it. I'm not too proud to do it, it will help my family and I don't have to sacrifice time with our girls.

Plus it gets my foot in the door and back into the workforce.

    Wish me luck!😊

How did you go getting the job?

I've tried applying for nightfill work over the Coles and Woolies websites but haven't had any luck yet!

Good luck! I think it's a great idea. I worked in various supermarket departments for a long time and there are tons of mums with young kids. It's perfect in that sense as it keeps you busy & active but you don't really have to 'think'. If you're lucky like I was, your team will be fantastic and you'll make great friends

I currently work night fill at Coles. Have done so for 1.5 years and I love it. Decent money for what you do and I don't have to access childcare. I know Coles prefer you to go onto permanent part time with a minimum of 3 shifts a week . My Coles is part of a new trial with trucks now delivering 24/7 so hours are now 9pm-1am. You do meet some great people as well
