I am new to this, and actually am posting for the first time on any site. A little bit about me, I am over 40 and have just given up IVF after 4 very deflating years. I apparently have an egg reserve of a 30 year old which meant that every egg collection resulted in many eggs retrieved. This was the only reason I was allowed to continue IVF cycles at all for so long. This was also why I kept hoping IVF using my own eggs would eventually be successful. After more than 8 egg collections and double digit transfers I am no further than I was 4 years ago. I have finally accepted that using a DE is the only option left for us.
I have been introduced to South Africa by a company in Australia called Donor Eggs Australia and have read on here that a number of people have been over to SA and used Cape Fertility Clinic. I was also introduced to a donor agent called Egg Donation South Africa to assist with finding an ED. Has anyone had any experiences with this agent or could recommend any other? I would be very interested to hear others experiences and if they used an agent in Australia to help co-ordinate the process with the SA clinics or worked directly with the clinics in SA?
My partner and I are so confused at the moment and we just don't want to be wasting more money we don't have with companies who may not be completely reputable. Any advise anyone can give would be so helpful.

IVF & DE in South Africa

Hi outoftime, my daughter is a SA Donor egg baby and there are many others on here who have had success there too with Cape Fertility. There are about 10 threads spanning around 5 years here on Bub Hub - I'd suggest you cut and paste your post into this thread http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...d.php?t=546516
There are a lot of ladies going over who will offer advice and support.
I'm on a bit of a break from it all at the moment.

Yes, I used the above mentioned agency here in Australia. They were managing my cycle here and they introduced me to a DE agency in Cape Town.
As you can see from my signature I did few cycles before in Australia but only going to Cape Town made my dream to come true and I am now a mother of twin girls.
If I only knew about Cape Fertility Clinic before I used the agency here I would go there without using Australian agency as I was quite familiar with the entire process, but at the end of the day it was good to have someone here in Sydney to help you out with prescriptions, tests, med certificates (I used accumulated my sick days to go to Africa), scans etc
By the way I highly recommend you to join thread on this forum called Egg Donation in South Africa #11
All the best
