Those marks look like pressure marks of some sort but what an odd place to have them.
My boys all had strawberry marks and they certainly weren't like that so I am certain that isn't what your little one has and ds3 also had a large hemangeoma like the above pic on his head which has shrunk to nearly nothing now. Hope it's nothing serious for your little one.

My daughter had a few hemangeomas on her back and face when she was an infant. These look similar. They all differ in shape and size, the one on her face looked like a bruise, with a red vein running through it. I will be interested to see what it is. Best of luck x

All went well with the pediatrician yesterday.
He doesn't think there is an issue, reckons she must have hurt herself at some point but does want us to come back if the veins appear again.
I've to keep an eye on the lesion, if it's not gone in a week I've to come back to him.

Glad to hear it went well. Fingers crossed it all clears up. Babies are such a worry, aren't they?

They are aren't they. It was especially worrying when she didn't have any unexplained episodes of crying recently either.
The skin is flaking off today now, and no sign of anything strange going on underneath.
