Default open toe compression stockings- where to buy?

I was advised today by my midwife to get some compression stockings for flying. she said it helps guard against dvt etc.

I'm after some open toe stockings if possible. something I can wear thongs on the plane with without looking like a total banana 😂

I've googled all the usual places and they all seem to have the closed toe version.

I'm not too fussed about the colour but open toe would be good as I like to fly in thongs and be able to slip them on and off easily.

    anyone got any ideas?

    thanks in advance

Ask a physio. They might have a supplier that does open toes.

Barring that, get some closed ones and get someone to cut the toes off and sew it up!

Kmart sells compression footless gym tights. Not sure how great they are but they look reasonable quality.

Lorna Jane also sell compression tights but they're way more exy. You can probably find them at any sports shop though. They're not the medical grade ones so I don't know how they stack up to those.

Just in case you were planning to hit the Qantas club - they don't allow thongs anymore.

ha! I'm too much of a pauper for qantas club! 😂

we're flying business (yay!) but I don't think we are club members. not like I can drink anyway so I'll happily sit in the normal waiting area with the rest of the rabble 😂

I only ever got in because I used to fly so much for work. No membership = not working = me happy 😋

If you're flying business you can get in though.

ahhh ok. well will keep it in mind. I'll wear non-thong type shoes that I can still slip on and off on the plane.

    thanks!!

I'll have to read up on the dress code for business lounge!!

I bought some closed toe ones from a pharmacy. I believe they're medical grade. they'll have to do I guess.
