Default OPK as a pregnancy test?

Anyone tried out the theory that an opk can predict pregnancy? My AF is due in 2 days and I just did one for the sake of it, and got a positive. I'm definitely not ovulating at the moment, so curious if it's true that they can detect bfps! ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1443564503.888227.jpg

Yes it's true. I started using one after a miscarriage ( I thought my hcg was down to 0 but it wasn't) and it kept coming up positive. I wondered why as I shouldn't have been ovulating that early. Bt showed I still had hcg in my system

Yes it's true but they won't detect pregnancy any earlier than a hpt.

I haven't done a hpt yet (I try to not have any in the house lol) google seems to have very conflicting stories so I'm not getting my hopes up at all.

You have a second surge of LH right before your period which is why it'll be looking positive again, although it is possible to be ovulating again. A HPT will be positive before an OPK if you are pregnant.

I used them as they were so much cheaper than pg tests. I personally actually found them more sensitive than pg tests. If it was me I would pee in a cup first thing tomorrow morning, do opk then if positive do another hpt with that same urine. Probably is just the Lh surge before period but I wouldn't rule out pregnant just yet. Was the opk done on first pee and hpt done later on? Good luck!
