I have a LG 7.5kg top loader with agitator, it's about 14yrs old and needs replacing but can't decide what to get! I know I want a bigger one and am erhing into swapping to a front loader (leaving the door open for airing isn't an issue). My mum has a top loader without an agitator and she LOVES it though.

I found our old top loader put holes in our clothes when it was on the way out ... Was annoying.

So I made the switch to a front loader and am in love. It too can have clothes added if you forget something (all it does is drain the water out before you open the door) - it's a great machine but cycle lengths are long. Ours is 4 years old now.

We have an LG 8kg front loader. Love it! It has heaps of different cycles - long and short and can add clothes in after starting. My toddler loves helping load and unload it.

It is a Fisher & Paykal "WashSmart". I only got it about 3 months ago and love it!
