Hmmm I'm pretty sure the HCG has nothing to do with the weight loss and it's the low calorie no sugar diet that loses the weight!

My doctor referred me onto a specialist who did this, but after researching it I decided not to try. If you do a search on BH there may be a couple of comments from people when I asked a question once.

apparently the hcg hormone assists in burning the fat. sounds insane to me.

    I know testosterone is a fat-burning and growth hormone. I don't have any, well actually, that's a lie - I do have above 0, but it's less than 1

I have not heard of it. I googled. I got scared. Is she under the care of a dr/dietitian? I worry about the calorie restriction. How long has she been on it? Isn't it only for a month or so?

In my googling I saw a website that uses it/yammers on about it. I could not take it seriously due to all the spelling errors!

I am no expert but 8 weeks is a long time... I feel for you as I would be worried too.

I've heard about it and tossed around the idea of doing it but didn't want to be so strict and also no exercise - I'd rather eat smaller portions and be able to go to the gym. The idea behind the hcg hormone is that it helps suppress your appetite (I think?). I've heard of lots of people having great success with it but it's not for everyone
