Default Low hcg and low progesterone

Has anyone had this? My Ob just called me with me blood results and said both my Hcg levels and progesterone levels are low. He said i need to start using progesterone presseries (sp?) I'm now so upset and worried. Has anyone experienced this and gone on to have a heathly baby? If i misscarry it will be my 4th loss in the last 3 years 😢

Sorry to hear you are going through this. Its such a horribly stressful time. Can you tell us what your numbers actually were?
Have you had more than one test done & how many weeks are you?

Ive always been told that its not the individual levels, but the rate of increase/doubling of hcg. Low progesterone is a funny one as well. Some doctors seem to believe that it can cause a miscarriage, others firmly believe that its a sign of a failing pregnancy and progesterone supplements will only prolong the inevitable. I don't know what to believe.

Thanks for your reply. No i wasn't told the actual numbers nor did he say if I should have repeat bloods. I have no idea how far along I am.
Everything I read seems to point to misscarriage :'(

My experience with low numbers has been loss But you say you don't know how far along you are. It isn't so much the number that matters but that it isn't doubling every 48-72 hours. Without a DPO nor repeat bloods I wouldn't stress yet. You could be only a few days after implantation.

My advice is to get repeat bloods hun. Through another dr if you have to.

Definitely go get repeat bloods! You could be stressing for nothing! Your Dr should know that. Repeat bloods at least 48hrs apart.

I had at least 4 blood tests over a couple of weeks this time round.
