Last year I made some preserves and some sweets for my DS's carers. Apparently it was a hit! I am only providing gifts to the main carers. I may make something for everyone to share though.. have not decided yet.

For those that give movie vouchers, gift cards etc, what value cards do you give?

This year I am getting vouchers for 2x carers (my DS has changed rooms mid year and I want to say thanks to all his carers). One will be to get a manicure (she always has gorgeous nails) and a lovie voucher for the other. I will prob have a $30 movie voucher and similar for the manicure. Not sure what I am getting for the current carers for DS but have a few ideas...

Hmmm looks like I am the only teacher who loves getting piles of chocolate, lol I must be a bit of a glutton!

My favourite gift is always getting a xmas ornament. I will always use it, whereas other 'gifty'/ ornamental type things, I wont usually put in my house. Every year when I decorate the tree, I put on each ornament &think of the child who gave it to me.

Last year I gave a gift to the carers that were in her room at childcare. I also gave a whole bunch of biscuits to put in the tearoom for everyone to share

I buy bigger gifts for the main carers and something small for the others- usually an ornament for their tree, but lots of them don't celebrate Christmas which makes it a bit tricker!
