What current songs do you under 5's love? Looking for stuff that is upbeat along the lines of "Happy" by Pharrell Williams .

My son loves Shut up and dance, there might be a clean version but we just explained to him that in the context of the song it is okay to sing it.

Uptown funk is very popular in our house. So is shut up and dance.

My DS loves 'Shake It Off' by Taylor Swift (I have not encouraged this one, Taylor is not my cup of tea!).
Otherwise his taste in music is fairly grown up - he loves Metallica and Slayer at the moment

Does your child do music at school op? That is how my boys tend to get into a song, by what they are listening/dancing to at school.

He's at preschool and I have heard them play a few songs but I'm not there to hear them and DS can't tell me because of his speech delay. I don't really listen to the radio in the car anymore.

My daughter is only 3 but she is into "Caspar Babypants" at the moment (favs are Stump Hotel, Bird in an Aeroplane Suit and Pretty Crabby). Probably not the sort of thing you're after but it's kids music that adults can actually listen to and no questionable themes. Very wholesome but quirky.
