    Default Sugar cravings!

    I'm 27 weeks with bubba #2 and craving sugar almost constantly! All I think about is sugary snacks. I wasn't like this at all when I was pregnant with DD. I try and stick to healthy things like fruit and yoghurt but still find myself eating plenty of lollies, chocolate, biscuits etc.
    Is anyone else like this? Any ideas for managing it? I'm not super strict with my diet but don't want to be eating rubbish all day long!

    I read somewhere that 3rd trimester your body is pre-programmed to store fat😝. So would make sense that's it's asking for sugar!

    Are you eating enough food? As in not sugar food?

    I would add extra protein which helps keep you fuller and helps to stabilise blood sugar. Eating eggs for breakfast instead of fruit/yoghurt/muesli etc can help ward off mid morning sugar cravings. Eat full fat natural yoghurt instead of lowfat/fruit yoghurt. Don't let yourself get hungry.

    There is no easy solution but if you want to avoid eating too much sugar just remember the more sugar you eat, the more your body will crave it!

    As above ^^

    I'm craving Rum. Obviously can't have any, plus I normally HATE rum. I've had my fair share of sugar in the past few days too though, it was my sons birthday. It's funny though how I crave bad things, then all of a sudden I'm back to craving broccoli. I guess what I'm saying is I feel your pain.
