VP you could keep saying the same thing in 15 different ways it won't make in anymore true.

You couldn't be more incorrect on that one and OP is NOT committing fraud by not declaring the $30.

sheesh you're tougher than the ATO.
Where did you get the 'one a month' figure from? At what point does something turn from a helping hand into a 'job'? When it is fortnightly? Weekly? Daily?

typo, sorry. I meant to say "helping an old bloke once a WEEK with his groceries".

notwithstanding the typo, my point still stands. it is not assessable income. she's not running a business. if you feel so strongly about this VP, give the ATO a buzz on Monday morning and ask them.

alternatively, for those inclined toward some stimulating reading, the following link may be of interest:

She said she 'looked into it'. And it turns out it happened once. So can you just give it a rest?

What the hell is your point? The OP has laid out her financial circumstances completely. She is under the threshold. Even if it's once a week, she's still under. Even if it was 3 times the amount she would still be under. PROFESSIONALS have advised that she doesn't need to claim it. Back. Off. You're wrong.
