xmas party thoughts! It's time to start planning so give us your ideas on what you would like to do ! lunch/dinner, kids or no kids , weekend away, restaurant recommendations, activities?
Yup I'd send an email. I like to be prepared for going into a meeting and to have a chance to think of ideas. And gives people the chance to consider whether or not they'd be keen for a weekend away.

We can dream!!! We are getting a boat for DH work party this year but in Brisbane which is much more affordable. If only he didn't have 30 staff, we do a special thing for just the drs/owns and spouses each year and I think we might go to this place for a night or 2 this time.

Default Work xmas party - what do you think?

It was all positive, I emailed them all before the meeting and a few came up with some restaurant ideas and I casually said DH and I are thinking of renting a luxury beach house in Palm Beach for a weekend in November and thought maybe have something up there? All immediately said it sounds great, and I said we will look at it and to let me know if they all would want to stay or do a night or day thing with or without kids , have a chat to spouses , I said house probably won't be big enough for spouses and kids to stay but we could organise for all to still come up maybe for the day so to talk about it and we can discuss it next week - I think after next weeks meeting I'll send an email with 3 options, fancy lunch/dinner , night at city hotel with spouses and fancy dinner or beach house weekend and staff stay over Saturday ( and Sunday night if they want ) and kids and spouses all day Sunday and day off monday

It's looking like Palm beach here we come! On Tuesday I asked again ( my office manager said the girls had all been discussing it last week and everyone was positive about it) the sleeping arrangements are looking better as the weekend the house is available my PA is taking her daughter to the Taylor Swift concert so can't stay over that night and my secretary ( the only one without kids) just said she wont stay overnight but will come up for the day/lunch on the Sunday so it will work out 2 women get their own rooms and 2 share a room but it has 2 single beds!

I'm glad I got everyone's opinion on here and gave them all options as yes the ones I thought might not be keen were the most positive ( my property manager said she'd be quite happy NOT to invite her kids and husband up for the day!) and the one girl without kids who I assumed would be ok is the only one that said she's not comfortable staying overnight !

So I've got until next Tuesday before I have to pay the deposit so will send them each all another email making sure they are all ok and will confirm it with them at our next meeting - now to decide if to get it catered or not!
