Default *trigger (suicide)* Should Ashley Madison Cheaters be exposed?

@Apple iPhart6 I know what your DH is saying but i really dislike this argument or position that men watch p.orn like it's the most natural thing in the world. P.orn is not something men have to watch. My DH has no interest or time to look at naked women when he's at work, and I can assure you if they had staff doing it they'd be dismissed.

Looking at p.orn is not "just" looking at naked women. Sorry I find this minimising p.orn I see time and time again on here just weird. Yes it's not illegal (in the main) and I don't care what people do in the privacy of their homes. I'm not a wowser either. I just don't see it as a necessary part of anyone's working life.

I can't believe this thread. Cheating is a p*ss poor act, it ruins relationships, families and the victim's self esteem. No one is saying otherwise.

But no one deserves to feel such hopelessness that they kill themselves Yes people are allowed to voice their opinion and I'm allowed to respond to that with mine. People that cheat probably deserve to have their spouses catch them out and leave them Not to have their personal and financial details plus their infidelities made public to the world including their workplaces. Using a work addy is dumb. But that doesn't mean they all were accessing the site at work. Many, particularly the private businesses would be able to access their accounts with work addys from anywhere.

In Saudi Arabia and other extremist places, women are stoned to death for committing adultery.
Do the people saying that the deaths are warranted here, or taking an "oh well, reap what you sow" type of attitude, think that the women being killed brought it upon themselves? Are they scum, too?
I understand this example differs to the people committing suicide over this scandal, but...essentially, same same but different, really. The justification that they brought it upon themselves is the same mentality; death arising from having cheated, isn't OK, it's extreme and catastrophic and I can't fathom how anyone could say otherwise.
I wasn't going to comment in this thread, but I'm feeling so disgusted and shocked reading some of the posts here. Honestly, shaking my head.

I haven't read the entire thread, I don't have time, but I don't know how people can claim the leak has caused them to commit suicide... Seriously.

If you're afraid of getting caught or you think you can't handle being caught out, don't bloody do it in the first place.

The suicides ARE linked to it. There are always life factors involved in someone deciding to end their life.

And do you honestly believe suicide is just?

I'm genuinely disgusted with these types of responses as well. My dad cheated. Does he deserve suicide, too? We are talking about HUMAN BEINGS here. There are far, far worse things people can do.

Forget, for a minute, about cheaters deserving to be exposed.

Their financial details are also being exposed.

As a married woman, if my H was on this site I would be hugely concerned about the cheating but more concerned about his financial details being shared.

They are my goddamn details too!!!

All the, oh those poor spouses/partners, having to find out this way... yeah poor them, but dear lord their finances are in jeopardy too. That is NOT ok at all.

(FWIW I have been cheated on by H, so this is not a made up scenario of how I might feel).
@SAgirl I don't think it's just about their partners finding out they cheated, so much as their personal details being shown too. I can totally see how that would cause someone to have suicidal thoughts.

Wait a minute... Where did I say anyone *deserved* suicide? Don't twist my words.

I said if they couldn't handle being exposed, they shouldn't have cheated.

I know all about suicide and feeling suicidal. It's an awful place to be, but you cannot force someone to commit suicide, other factors would have had to be in play with this whole thing, not just a cheating leak.

Yeah, like the rest of the issues other people in this thread have brought up. There would have been events that unfolded through this leak that made people feel like they have no other option. You're right, no one forced these people to commit suicide, but they sure as hell made it a bigger option for them.

I might have paraphrased incorrectly, but the attitude is still as blase.

I did say I hadn't read the entire thread.

Anyway I won't even try and reply to the rest.

Some of you need to ask yourselves if someone you loved had their details leaked online through AM...someone who you were close with and believed had good in them...if you would still have the attitude of "can't handle it, don't cheat" if they killed themselves.
