@sky76 This is my first time trying PGD. 4 embryos awaiting results. Now that the cost has come down I figure many more people will use it to try and pinpoint issues and maximise their chances of success.

Hi Bongley. What do you mean the price has come down? Where is this? I'm going to have to do pgd after this last fet if unsuccessful again. I'm in Melbourne.

I think the price used to be around 3600 or so whereas I think now it can be done per embryo. I havent done it personally just what I've been told by others. Im sure the lovely ladies here will confirm.

@Charlie74 is right with PGD costs @ Monash IVF. I had to pay the $2,010 deposit when I paid the initial payment for the stim cycle

@BIB thanks for your kind words & advice. My FS will only do PGD on Day 5 /6 as she said the success rate is higher than Day 3. With my last cycle, only 2 embryos fertilized at Day 3 & I was told that it would be best to transfer them both as they don't do testing on Day 3 embryos & they might not survive to Day 5 & had a better chance if they were transferered on that day.

I'm booked in for transfer late this arvo (I'm the last patient) as I have to wait for the frucking lab to call me re: Day 5 fertilization update. If all goes well I will tell them that I want to do the PGD & to cancel today's transfer.

Fruck my heads spinning. Ive got to go to work & pretend nothings going on, sit there with a fake smile. I've got back to back meetings this morning so I won't be able to answer my phone if the lab calls me (Im already praying to the universe that they don't call me during my meetings). Then if it doesn't go to plan pretend I'm sick & rush to the clinic for transfer....

I think I'll call a FN as soon as I get to work & let them know what's going on that's if they answer their frucking phone always goes to voice mail than I have to wait for them to call me back (no wonder I suffer from frucking anxiety)

@skye76 Good Luck today Luv!! I'll be hoping & praying your embies have made it through & at least some of them can be tested. Failing that then fingers crossed/babydust for transfer this afternoon!!

Yes Luv...there's nothing worse than having to go put on a happy face in front of everyone when deep inside you're feeling like a nervous wreck!!

Hope the frucking nurse answers her ph too!!!
