Only bought cheap pencils, I looked at the newsagent for some Derwent pencils but they wanted $80 for a 24 pack!! Am I a tight a$s or is that ridiculously expensive?!?! I nearly fell over when I seen how much they were and put them back so quickly lol.
Nope that's ridiculously expensive. Office works have the 72 pack for not much more than that.

Ok so I'm not being a tight a$s. I nearly fell over! I will have to look at office works, it's out of the way so I don't go there really. Must just be jacking up prices because they think people will pay for them at that price.

Yeah, I won't pay that much either! I'm being cheap and sticking with $20 pencils LOL.

Not the kind of colouring I was trying to do.

I really wanted some nice pencils but yep I'm sticking to the cheap $20 packs and they are working out for me lol. I knew they would good pencils but for just a bit of fun I don't think I would spend so much. Maybe I'll treat myself to a small pack of Derwent when I feel rich but right now I won't be lol

I got a small pack of derwent pencils. I think $30.
That's all for me! Then I discovered a pack of 50 Sargent Art pencils I had from winning a raffle at daycare. Lol. They're cheap but pretty good. Plus loads of colours.

I'm joining the party, I've had a stack of colouring books since I was a teenager and am really keen to get an adult one, I'm thinking Secret Japan but want to see the inside first - does anyone have this one? As for pencils, I'd love some Staedtler Karat Aquarelle (I have a set of 12 but really need a larger range of shades for the effect I like), but they are crazy expensive so I think I'll just make do with what I have for a while and save up. I don't even use them as watercolours, I just love the rich colours and soft leads. I have a huge set of Faber Castells but the leads are so hard and waxy they are awful to use, I will never buy that brand again.

I have the secret Japan one - its nice. I like that the paper is also thick enough that texta's don't soak through it.

I'll post a pick from it when I get home tonight
