I always thought being a stay at home mum would be the hardest job in the world. I was at stay at home mum for almost 9 years.... Now I realise that studying midwifery full time while trying to raise a family is the hardest job in the world. I am struggling to keep the balance and feeling like a pretty lousy mum. I don't feel like I need to pull out, but I do need some help to prevent me from treading water everyday! Or Is that the reality? That I'll be treading water for the next 2 years? Any advice to make my life easier or stories about your own struggles or achievements would be greatly appreciated! I feel like I need to connect with the sisters of motherhood to truly be understood...
Or I'm coming across like a complete looney 😉

Feeling overwhelmed... How do you keep the balance?
Hi @Jarylee
I'm afraid I can't offer much in the way of solutions but wanted to send a virtual high five. It's amazing that you are even treading water so don't discount that. My only advice would be that it can be done. My godmother was a single parent to three children and became a nurse and then a midwife while raising them alone in the late 80's. I've always found the way she persevered rather than taking the easy route and claiming benefits indefinitely highly commendable. Your kids will be so proud of there mum in years to come.I'm sure you're doing better than you think 😊
