Default 4 in October: speech concerns.

Hi, I've just come home in tears after picking up DS from daycare. He apparently has had a bad day hitting other kids. In the 15 min block just before I arrived he had hit four separate kids.

The room supervisor said she's concerned with his speech. He is booking in to see a ENT next month as he has shown to need a grommet in his left ear. I suppose they'll check if he needs the other done too? Along with adenoids etc.

DS hasn't had his 3.5 health nurse check and apparently they do some kind of assessment there? The carer suggested maybe wait until he has his grommet surgery before going.

I'm not sure what I'm asking of anyone who reads this, I'm just after maybe some advise, maybe some experiences, is this common? How can I help him?

The scary one: Is it something more than just hearing and speech?

Anyone had the same troubles, had grommets out in and noticed a big difference? I'm wondering if it's a speech or a entire communication problem..

Speech works closely with sight. Get his eyes tested too if he hasn't already had a proper examination. I have no experience with the other-hopefully someone else will answer
