I have been on a slow cooker roll this week! 34 weeks pregnant and no energy to cook any other way!

Monday was sweet BBQ pulled pork. Served with coleslaw on breadrolls.

Tuesday was sticky honey chicken. Served with rice and steamed veg.

Today is red wine and beef casserole. I'm thinking I'll serve with mash and steamed veg.

I do a roast pork in the slow cooker but it comes out very moist and I put the crackle under the grill to crackle. I do mine to make shredded pork . Personally if you want a traditional pork roast I'd go over or BBQ

So I'm going to revive this thread... I'm stuck for something tasty in the slow cooker.. I feel like I'm making the same things over and over again and I'm bored. It's going to be a freezing cold day tomorrow and planning on something with chicken breast. Any ideas? I will be in and out of the house tomorrow.

My favourite chicken slow cooker meal is a Mexican type dish. I usually don't do packet mixes but after seeing this on fb I had to try.

Place chicken on the bottom, jar of salsa over the chicken, sprinkle a packet of taco season over the salsa then tin of crushed tomato or chop your own tomato over the top. I cook on low for 6-7 hours then half hour prior to dishing out mix a whole sour cream through the dish breaking up all the chicken as I do so. We have it with a side of rice. My 4 girls absolutely devour it and always want seconds so a win for the kids.

I do something similar. It's chicken breast, with taco seasoning, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup milk, tin of crushed tomato and a tin of condensed cream of chicken soup. Leave it for roughly 6 hours, add a handful of grated cheese and stir through.
I put mine over corn chips and top with some additional sour cream. It's amazing. I might try yours though

I usually make a salsa that's just diced tomato, cucumber and coriander with lime juice, to serve with it

    Edit: and red onion
