I made a big batch of Mexican chicken last night and used some of it for nachos.

Than there curries, pasta etc. Just adjust your normal recipes by changing how long you cook it for

2 cups green / brown lentils
Litre carton stock i think i used chicken
    4 roma tomatoes
    Small sweet potato
    Eggplant or zucchini
    1 brown onion
    1 jar korma curry paste

Soak lentils 2 - 4 hours in hot water then drain
Fry onion in butter and tomatoes and zucchini
Add korma curry then sweet potato then lwntils and stock

Add more hot water if needed cook until lentil taste aldente

Thats basis you could add fish chicken what ever to it

This is a stove top recipe but I made it in the slow cooker. I soaked the lentils then chucked it all in together except I added cream at the end of the cooking time because the jar of curry sauce I used was too hot for the kids. This is mil recipe and she calls it dhal, I call it lentil curry. It's easier to describe to the kids that way.

I need to get more slow cooker ideas. All I usually do in there is chicken casserole.

My FAVORITE slow cooker meal is silverside in ginger ale, with a quarter cup of brown sugar. Just sweetens the outside of the meat. So delicious. Already had it this week though so I shouldn't go out and get another one even though I really really want to have it again. Being pregnant makes me really indulge

I have done this one too except I didn't add any sugar, instead I added a spoonful of ginger for extra oomph then used some of that liquid to make a white sauce to serve with.
