Chicken legs have been super cheap.
I chuck them in frozen with whatever hard veg I have available. Sometime I add herbs and spice some times a sauce. Whole chickens have been cheap I either put herb and spice or cover in a smokey bbq sauce and pull it at the end. Either of rolls or wraps. Its great for leftover to put lunches for the week.

Corned beef last night and about to get cracking on beef stroganoff meatballs. This is a new one for us and haven't tried it before. Hoping it's a winner.

It was a big hit with the kids. Lovely and cheesy. I could have fed a army with it. It was massive. It would have easily served 14.

The recipe calls for 2 hours on low. I did 2.5 hours with 20 min on high to be sure as my crock pot is older. The onions didn't didn't really cool down enough and the recipe also called for 2 tbs of mustard. It was ridiculously overpowering. We even stirred through sour cream to settle the flavors a bit, which helped but it was just awful. We threw most of it out as we just hated it.
