Thanks She's doing ok at the moment. We are home right now, have been for just over a week. Her neutrophils were too low to start chemo this week so we got more time at home which is great. We've been to the playground each day for the last few days and it's been so good to get out in the sunshine. We go back in for the next round this coming Tuesday.

Settlement has been moved back by 2 weeks due to a delay in getting a valuation, but that was done last week so we are very close to going unconditional with the purchase. I've never owned a farm so I'm both excited and nervous. Mostly excited.

I've decided that I want to enquire about doing Certificate IV in Bookkeeping. Firstly so that I can do DP's bookkeeping (save money and time as we will be living so far away from his current bookkeeper), and it will open up doors in other areas. I could see if there's a market for doing bookkeeping from home for others, or I could use it with my real estate background. A course through Holmesglen TAFE is available online with midterm enrolments possible. I've sent through an enquiry already.

Study might be something to keep me busy in hospital!

Oh and another thing I'm looking at doing to help pass the time in hospital is embroidery. It seems like a fairly portable hobby and from what I can see it looks fairly easy to pick up.

I'm starting to go slightly batty from all the time in hospital (I think DD and I have literally been in hospital more than we've been home since the 3rd August). There's only so many hours a day/week that you can keep occupied on your phone with Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and bubhub. Im getting bored with all that.

So, between embroidery and eventually (hopefully) study, I should come out the other side of all this with my sanity intact, and some skills and craft pieces to keep
Here's the type of embroidery I like:

Default Need good vibes sent our way today

So, went in on Tuesday first thing with the view to starting the next round of chemo. Bloods were done at 8am, came back a couple of hours later...neutrophils too low! So they sent us home and we will try again next Tuesday. The silver lining to that is that she is home for her birthday! Yay!!....which is technically today seeing as it's after midnight right now. It has been too difficult to plan a party for her due to the unpredictability of her health since chemo started, but we celebrated with DP's boys tonight (they are admittedly packet cupcakes, but they turned out quite nice): ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1444223966.666823.jpg PHOTO REMOVED (Dang ....can't figure out how to put a photo back in, the app won't let me) Her eyes have been a bit sensitive to light lately so whilst it looks like she's overcome with emotion...she's actually just got stingy eyes. Poor poppet! And I've got a little surprise waiting for her in the lounge for when she wakes up: ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1444224026.156093.jpg I think she will love it! Ohh...and I drilled the oncologist on Tuesday, found out she has exactly FOUR rounds of chemo left. Impossible to put an end date on it though as it all depends on how long she ends up needing between each round. For example she was supposed to start the next round LAST week, but we will now be delayed by two weeks at least, more if her levels don't rise in the next week. But as for rough dates, it'll take us through to at least February at the earliest. She looks good though, apart from not having hair you wouldn't think she was so sick. She's running around, playing in the parks and going for walks (but I always take the pram so she can climb in and rest when she gets tired). She's just really vulnerable of course so I'm being careful with who I let near her.
