    Default Vitex question

    Hi ladies,

    I'm hoping someone might be able to help me...

    Cycle - typically 28-29days
    Ovulation - typically cd17-20
    LP - anywhere from 8-10days (usually spot a couple of days before AF)

    So my DH and I have been TTC for 8mths now and *crickets*. We've had 2 chemicals and my doctor just says 'keep trying'. I'm certain I have an issue with my LP as 8days just seems too short and spotting days before AF is highly unlike me. I've been taking B6 vitamins for 1 and a half cycles now.

    I've been reading tons of stuff on Vitex and how it's helped lots of women lengthen their LP and increase progesterone. Today is O day and I took one tablet this morning. Aside from my boobs really hurting, I noticed some spotting when I got home this afternoon. I'm now really worried that I've messed up my cycle... is spotting on Vitex normal? Should I stop taking it and try it from CD1 next cycle? I'm so worried AF is going to come early and I haven't even had a chance to BD yet!!

    If today is o day then spotting could be due to o. I'd suggest bding if you haven't already.

    Thanks Mamasupial. I did think that too, but I've never spotted because of O before...

    I honestly don't think one does would have that effect?

    Vitex cleared up my lp spotting. Unfortunately didn't lengthen it by much though but I'm bfing so that's probably why. Its worth a try. I would also look at taking a B complex rather than just B6 - they worked better when taken together. I like Cenovis Mega B.

    Vitex is great. Has really helped with my cycle length!
