    Default Vitex question

    Hi ladies,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me...

    Cycle - typically 28-29days
    Ovulation - typically cd17-20
LP - anywhere from 8-10days (usually spot a couple of days before AF)

So my DH and I have been TTC for 8mths now and *crickets*. We've had 2 chemicals and my doctor just says 'keep trying'. I'm certain I have an issue with my LP as 8days just seems too short and spotting days before AF is highly unlike me. I've been taking B6 vitamins for 1 and a half cycles now.

I've been reading tons of stuff on Vitex and how it's helped lots of women lengthen their LP and increase progesterone. Today is O day and I took one tablet this morning. Aside from my boobs really hurting, I noticed some spotting when I got home this afternoon. I'm now really worried that I've messed up my cycle... is spotting on Vitex normal? Should I stop taking it and try it from CD1 next cycle? I'm so worried AF is going to come early and I haven't even had a chance to BD yet!!

If today is o day then spotting could be due to o. I'd suggest bding if you haven't already.

Thanks Mamasupial. I did think that too, but I've never spotted because of O before...

Vitex cleared up my lp spotting. Unfortunately didn't lengthen it by much though but I'm bfing so that's probably why. Its worth a try. I would also look at taking a B complex rather than just B6 - they worked better when taken together. I like Cenovis Mega B.
