Last night I was super comfy in my fresh out of the dryer, big and baggy flannelette pj bottoms. Then I went into the kitchen and dropped a dish of left over bolognaise sauce on the floor. It didn't break because it was a plastic container, it didn't spill all over the floor but it splashed meaty bits all over my pj bottoms. Only mummy's special red drink could comfort me.
Come in here to share your *cough cough* tragedies.

I've had the flu for 5 days (the actual flu, not a cold that I'm saying is the flu, the real knock you on your butt, feel like you're dying flu). That's not the worst thing though. I asked DH to get me a Picnic chocolate bar yesterday (because I'm sick, not dead) and he couldn't get one so I had to have a Boost.
It just wasn't what I wanted. And I'm too sick to drink so I couldn't even have any special red drink to make it better.

I'm pretty sure it was just yesterday when I was one day off my due date with DD.. and now, I don't even know what has happened... this little girl with her hair in adorable pigtails just waltzed into my kitchen and said "Tea ready Mum?"
My baby is so not a baby.

My sob story is that we have spent thousands of dollars on new furniture and decor for our 2 year olds big girl room and she walked in and was the most excited about her music player that used to be on her cot. Not about all the amazing new stuff!

I hid the last batch of brownies in the fridge for those days when life just sucks. Just discovered DH found them, ate it and left carrots in there for me.
I'm thinking divorce.

@Moxy I'm hearing you on the flu. DD2 has it and if I tell anyone she has the flu, they will actually correct me and say 'you mean a cold' I've taken to saying influenza..
I just walked dog poo all through the house then yelled at my dog for doing it until I realised it was me, then cried lol (it's been a cr4p week spent in hospital, this mumma is tired) I feel bad for yelling at my dog so she's now laying on my lounge.

Rose&Aurelia but this actually made me laugh. He left carrots?! Gold. That's gold.
Don't worry, I was suitably punished for laughing; I had a huge coughing fit which almost made me throw up and left me with a bigger headache than I already have. And rightly so, laughing at carrot replacement is just cruel.

OMG I'm howling. this thread is hilarious.
I spent the day cleaning the house and have hurt my back (doubt it's anything serious, just painful and twingey at lower left side). dh was out helping a family member with a computer issue (instead of helping me clean the house! oh the nerve of him!) and now I'm stuck on the couch with just a heat pack on my left bum cheek for comfort. no special red cordial for me either as I'm pregnant! 😆😆😆
