Default Has anyone been diagnosed with PMDD?

I've been tracking my cycle for the last few months as suggested by my psychiatrist. Pretty sure I have premenstrual dysphoric disorder (pmdd). She said I need to suffer from at least 5 symptoms......I tick ever box! Does anyone else here suffer from it? How do you control it? How were you diagnosed? Did you see your gp or a specialist? I've been told there is one at the Royal Women's hospital in Melbourne but I haven't been successful in finding any details. I'm all googled out so thought I would pop in here in the hope of finding someone who's been in this position before!

It's basically just PMS x 1000! Lasting extreme irritability, fear and suicidal thoughts, binge eating, fatigue, anxiety and uncontrollable crying. There is quite a few more but that's all I can remember at the moment.

I think I have bad pms.. I don't know if it's just pms or could be more but I have just picked up on the cycle of it the last 3 months but it's been going on, on & off for about a year. And that it had been getting worse. Particularly because for the last 3 months, around the last week of my cycle, I realised was the time dp and I had ended up fighting. Every month at the same time/week! Ive started to see the pattern.
I also tick most those boxes. Yesterday at random times during the day I had shortness of breath/anxiety, dizziness, anger, teary, then waves of feeling ok again. Today at work I was so bloody clumsy it was ridiculous.

I've been taking evening primrose oil this cycle and have found I've had a lot more better days than bad this month. Also now that I'm aware of the pattern and that it's mostly just my hormones I find I can reel in my emotions more and ride it out by keeping to myself at those times till I know I'll feel better again. I have stop myself from picking fights with dp a lot too. He's not completely innocent in my bad moods but he's definitely been very patient with me

Yeah I've been tracking the last 3 months as well. I can almost pin point the exact day it will start, my extreme low point and then the day my period will start. I dread it every month! I've read about evening primrose oil. I think I'll give it a go and see if that dulls the symptoms a bit. My dh doesn't get it and isn't interested in knowing what's going on.
