I think Skyler's point is that we are all lay people so advocating someone should self prescribe is not wise and could be dangerous. There's a million factors in someones biology that we all have no idea about (and thats only one factor) so leave it to the Doctors. Thats what we pay them for.
And yep agree that if you want to follow a certain theory then find the Medical expert who can treat you accordingly.
