I hope they get caught. I would think booking flights and paying your uni fees would be the dumbest thing you could possibly do. How easy would that be to track. I'm not worried though, banks are really good with this stuff. The funny thing is that the one transaction that alerted them was only for about $50 BUT that one was paid locally whereas I think the rest were paid online... So the fact that I gave my bank my travel dates last time I was in Africa alerted them to that last transaction only because they knew I wasn't in Africa for that transaction. Moral of the story, let your bank know your travel dates.

Thanks girls, I'm trying to take it in my stride and mostly succeeding!

I always do a look over of the credit card statement a month or so after travelling, that's how I picked up that DH was being charged for 'diamonds' in some game he was playing on his tablet that he though were free! $500 later haha.

Off to Hout Bay today for fish and chips on the wharf.

    Em x

Wow @leyshoja how cr~p. I'm so sorry. Hopefully your bank is brilliant at sorting it out asap. Like you said, how stupid to pay for identifying products with it!!
As a side note, I can't believe my donor's shuttle company, CFC and my CT accom have all asked me to provide my CC details via normal non-secure email.
Thanks for your encouraging words. I feel really abnormal not being overly excited. I'll be in CT in exactly 2 wks. I'm guessing this will change once I start getting some updates on my donor, such as her 1st scan date. If she hasn't got AF this w.end I'm going to be in trouble with my short time-line in CT.
    How are you feeling @leyshoja?
@emski72 I just wanted to let you know I've been following how you're going over on the other thread. Have you used the embryoscope with this cycle? I was thinking about what I'd do in your position as I was falling asleep lastnight. I look forward to your next update! Big hugs & enjoy CT's 28c!!

PS: What did you buy your donors as thank-you presents?

Thanks @ferngirl. I love Natio products! I asked my donor co-ordinator about my donor's style but she hasn't met her in person so wasn't much help unfortunately!
For a few weeks I've been looking online for a locket with my donor's favorite flower on it so she could put a pic of her son in it. I just started searching again & bingo found a lovely small Georg Jensen one, so a bit spoily & young & trendy but not over the top. Hopefully it'll suit her!
Plus she mentioned her favorite (inexpensive) perfume in her profile so I'll add a little bottle of that too.
I'm useless with words so writing in her card will be the tricky part for me. It'll most probably just end up being stained with tears of gratitude! Maybe I should circle them with an arrow explaining what they are...maybe that's all I need to say.
