It wouldn't bother me in the slightest what my child's teacher does on the weekend. That is their private time. The teacher is the role model for my child Monday to Friday 9 til 3 (or whatever the school hours may be), dh and I are the role models for our child all the time. As long as the activities in their private time isn't impacting the time they are the role model for my child then it doesn't concern me.

Can I just say I was expecting this thread to go very differently, and it's made me so happy that it hasn't done so :-)

I have expectations of my DD's teachers, and if they were in anyway negligent I would not have a problem in going to the principal, what they do in their private life in no way is any of my business, and I would never complain about something of that nature, unless it was of course impacting her work.
I'm one of the parents who is involved in everything at school, there have been teachers that I have not particularly liked on a personal level, but that never impacts on my involvement, nor would I let dd know I 'dislike' a teacher, I feel parents need to model respect for teachers for their children. Not pick at them so much.
Seeing as these parents were happy with the teacher before they heard all this, I really think it's wrong for them to complain. I also feel its wrong for them to have a copy of this photo.

I haven't read all the replies, but in short, yes it would bother me. Not so much about who she has 'relations' with, but the drug taking would be worrying for me.
I know a lot of people take drugs etc, and some have experimented but don't take them anymore. But if I found out that my child's teacher took drugs on a regular basis, heck yes it would bug me. Since I haven't been in this situation, I am not sure what I would do about it.
Things like nude pictures or drinking etc - that is none of my business, and technically drug taking shouldn't be either, but, drugs change a persons moods etc and I would not want someone like that teaching or looking after my kids.

Drinking and having sex? No, that wouldn't bother me. Teachers are human too and are allowed to have fun and relationships. That's not a problem to me, as long as they are not doing those things during school hours.
Drugs though? No way. It's illegal and I wouldn't want to leave my child in the care of a criminal.
BUT I wouldn't go dobbing her in for something unless I had actual proof. I'm not one to listen to hearsay, especially not from someone who's morals are so defunct that they think it is ok to send naked pictures around to people who weren't supposed to see them.

Wouldn't bother the in the slightest. The only time to bring up an issue about a teacher is when it relates directly to something happening at school. End of story.

Yes it would bother me. My child would be in this persons care 5 days a week.

I think it's vile to show someone's boss an ill-gotten nude pic in an attempt to damage their career and reputation.
