I am in desperate need of a diet and lifestyle overhaul. However, I am really not in the right headspace for this right now (too much stress and chaos at the moment). So I thought I would make a couple of small changes to my life - one sacrifice and one positive change that I will implement for one month (as a starting point!).
My sacrifice is sugary treats - I have been eating chocolate, ice cream, etc. just about every day recently. That's all going to stop for the next month.
My positive change is to eat at least 2 serves of fruit and 3 serves of vegetables each day. I love summer fruit but eat basically no fruit in winter. My veg intake is really variable. I am aiming for consistency.
There are so many other changes I need to make, but I just don't think I will be able to commit for any length of time. Hopefully these minor changes will help me to feel a bit better and more in control, which in turn will help more changes down the track.
If anyone else is interested in joining me in making a couple of small changes to their life for the next month then I would love some company!! Hopefully we could keep each other motivated. If no-one else is interested then I plan to use this thread to keep myself accountable.

I would love to join! Not too sure on what to change though...maybe get to bed by 11:30pm everynight? At the moment I'm getting to bed between 12-1am which is just too late but I'm struggling to change.
As for what to sacrifice...I usually don't eat a lot of junk food though have been buying more recently so I could cut that out. I'll have to think about that one.

I just started exercise again tonight. First time since DD was born.... That's my positive.
My sacrifice is sweet sugary stuff too.
I've found if I drink some apple cider vinegar each day, I don't crave sweets like I used to.
Gonna keep it up and see how I go.

Positive change:- exercising at least 3 times a week for at least 15 minutes.
Sacrifice:- KFC. I usually have it at least once a week, and I don't even enjoy the taste of it any more, or the way it makes my mouth feel - it's just a habit I've got into over many years. Will try and have soup, a salad, or a sandwich if I'm out instead.

I'm in. I've recently started omitted sugar in my coffee. It tastes like crap for a week and then you get over it.
I think I'm going to substitute my morning tea sausage roll or muffin for something else. Not sure what.

I really should join. I will try and think of what my sacrifice and positive will be. I really need to cut down on the amount of chocolate I eat, but need to do it slowly else I will give in and binge.
