Oh wow! On the upside, at least your machine will be sparkling clean by the time you get out all out. Sounds like a nightmare after reading of others experiences.

And a nice warning to make sure we check dd2s pj's for dry nights before washing.

I've washed one before and thankfully it didn't explode so no crystal cleaning! Looks like a nightmare to clean!!

Yeah me too when I found out. They are so expensive. Just wash with swimmers and hang on line. You get at least 4 goes before they start to look a bit sad

Another upside if the beads are outside is at least it will retain moisture to keep garden green ( just don't let kids or animals eat it

I'm sorry to laugh but I just read this thread & love that you came back to admit it! 😂
Hope it wasn't too annoying for you to get it all out.

I split the load in half and rewashed one load. Haven't checked it yet. Luckily it was a cheap day training one we used. It doesn't have a lot of filling but it still has enough to be annoying.

Eta: looking good! Other than a pair of dd1s black pants that is covered in lint (that could have done with binning ages ago) so far so good.
