After a long road of pcos, ruptured ectopic and loss of both tubes we have a magical DD who is 4 months old to complete our family (DS is almost 6). DD is from a FET. I had a dream 2 nights after transfer where the scientist had the embryo in the dish before transfer and said this ones a girl !
A definite IVF success story against the odds here xx

I've just settled my lovely 9 week old DS, born through IVF ICSI. It's so worth everything you go through. Sometimes I look at him and want to weep with joy he's so beautiful.

I missed this thread at the time it was originally posted because I was busy giving birth to my beautiful baby girl she's the result of our first embryo transfer.
I have PCOS and anovulatory. No other infertility factors (I'm 33 and DH 40). These are the treatments we had:
November 2012 first appt with FS
Feb 2013 ovulation induction with clomid (no ovulation)
April 2013 ovulation induction with clomid (no ovulation)
May 2013 started metformin (discontinued after made me sick)
June 2013 ovulation induction with FSH Injection (ovulated but BFN)
July 2013 ovulation induction with FSH Injection (ovulated but BFN)
Treatment break and overseas to regroup!
April-may 2014 ovulation induction with FSH Injection and IUI (ovulated but BFN)
July-August 2014 IVF cycle - 11 eggs collected, 7 embryos, OHSS so all frozen (5 made it to freeze)
October-November 2014 June ovulation induction with FSH Injection and FET = BFP. Baby girl born 2/7/15.
    She's amazing, absolutely adorable.

Wishing you all the best in your ivf journey x

I'm sitting with my beautiful DD sleeping on my chest. She is the result of my very successful second stim cycle, FET#5 and my lucky last embie! Her brother was the fresh ET from the same cycle. So I got two bubs from the one cycle Still amazes me that she was in a freezer for 2.5 years 😆

Our first stim cycle was a disaster so we switched ivf clinics and FS. So don't be afraid to seek and second opinion and change if u feel like your not getting anywhere with current FS.

After a long road of TTC which consisted of PCOS, no ovulation at all & then all of a sudden a natural conception which ended in a missed miscarriage & D&C, multiple rounds of clomid with bad side effects, another early miscarriage, Laporoscopy where bad endometriosis & cysts were removed, injections to treat the endo, we were finally referred to do IVF. I decided to skip IUI because if we did 6 rounds, that was pretty much the same cost of an IVF cycle.

We were exhausted but excited to start our IVF journey. We did our egg pick up in May & we were so lucky to get 8 embryos. They had to freeze them all as I ended up with OHSS & wasn't allowed to do a transfer for a few months to give my body time to heal. In October we were finally allowed to do our first frozen embryo transfer, so exciting! This was done on Halloween of all days lol After 4 years we were finally pregnant!!

We were incredibly lucky as our first little embryo took & I now have a beautiful 7 & a half week old daughter. I know how lucky we were for it to work on our first transfer. We have our 7 other emby's waiting in the freezer. Even though it was daunting to go down the IVF road I have absolutely no regrets & everything we went through seems so worth it now.

When I was going through IVF I always wished there was a book full of positive stories to read about people's journeys as they're so nice to read when you're going through everything, so this is a lovely thread for people to read Good luck to everyone going through IVF at the moment.

My partner and I met late in life, after trying for 18 months we started IVF.

No lucky first goes here! It took us 4 stimulated rounds and I finally fell pregnant with my son never any frozen embryos.

We tried for another 8 rounds to get a sibling to no avail but I currently have 4 donor conceived frozen embryos waiting to be tested

    Good luck everyone

DH and I have unexplained infertility and conceived DD (now 3.5) on our first IVF cycle .

We used our one frozen embryo earlier this year which failed and were going to call it quits, but decided to do just one more fresh cycle which has resulted in my current pregnancy (10 weeks).

I think it's good to have a mix of hope and reality, on one hand you're hoping that it will work, but it helped me to also accept that we may not be lucky enough to get a child(ren) at the end of our journey. It's damn hard though.

Wishing you all the very best Sparkle xx
