I think I'll have to dump them, god knows what chemicals are on them.
I have the same ones and have had them for months. Obviously washed heaps of times as I got them during winter. The smell does not go away. Must just be the black ones as none of my blue jeans smell like that. I can't even think of a word for the smell.

    I probably haven't a hope?
It is worth a try, I washed mine several times and hung them outside for days it didn't go away, I even did a couple of washes with water soluble eucalyptus oil and I could still smell it...it smelt so strong of chemicals...

    It's very chemically.
I have an insane sense of smell as well so they're making me feel a bit sick.
It's strange that I didn't pick it up in the shops, or maybe I did a little and thought it would wash out.

I don't mind having to go back, tee hee.

I had 5 minutes to quickly duck into K-mart. So, in 5 minutes and for $51 I got a t-shirt for DD, 3 pairs of shorts for DD, 2 pairs of shorts for the boys, and new bathers for the boys.
    Pretty successful, I would say!!

...Now I'm hoping they don't smell like chemicals, though....

Yep I literally walked in, grabbed and ran

I just got them all out of the bag before and they're all fine.
Dd is wearing a pair of the shorts already, tags still on. You can't argue with her when she decides she wants to do something.
    What a dag : p

I was there today and grabbed this glass water bottle for $5. I was pretty stoked because I've been wanting a glass water bottle and they are usually so expensive.

@teenie.....here is a copy of a post of mine from a few months ago.

I turned the shadow boxes into fairy houses for my DD's fairy doors. We put some fake grass in the bottom, popped some little roses in, used craft paper to line the walls. The girls love to change them around. I stuck them to the walls with the 3M double sided velcro, so they are at kid height and easy to change around/play with. Here they are when they were a work in progress. Last week DD1 lost a tooth and she set up her fairy house and left a note for the tooth fairy and the tooth fairy left her a note back (on the tiniest paper I could find) saying how much she loved the house and the flowers in the garden.
