    Default TTC & Breastfeeding

    Hi wise mums,

We're starting to think about TTC #2 and I'm still breastfeeding my 16mo DS.

With my 1st I took Folic Acid prior to conception and Elevit while pregnant. I am hoping to do similar this time around but wondering whether there are any issues taking Folic Acid while breastfeeding?

(I will be heading to docs in coming weeks to discuss but just wanted to see if anyone knew the answer - particularly if it may be likely that I will need to stop breastfeeding to safely take the vitamins).

    Many thanks

No issues with taking folic acid and breastfeeding
Elevit, blackmores etc are advertised for use in pre conception, pregnancy and during breastfeeding and contains folic acid.

FWIW I conceived this time around whilst still breastfeeding, good luck xxx
