Default 2nd bub and braxton hicks

Did you get more braxton hicks the 2nd time around?

How long for? did they lead to labour?

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and booked in for elective c section at 39 weeks. I've been getting some pretty full on BH for the past week or so. There is no rhythm or pattern to them but they are pretty strong, strong enough to take my breath away.

With my 2nd my braxton hicks were really really strong and started at 33 weeks, at 34 weeks they turned in to contractions which they managed to stop. DD was born at 36+6

I also had really intense regular BH with my second bub. I was convinced he would come early (my first bub came a week early), instead he was a week overdue! Don't stress - it is no indication that you won't make your c-section date

I didn't get them at all with my 1st. She came at 37+1.

I had heaps with my 2nd from about 30w and by 37w was having the odd hour here or there where they'd come regularly every 8-10 min apart lasting 30-60 sec. Labour didn't start til 39+2 though and the BHs weren't particularly bad immediately beforehand.

Gosh yes .. Constantly! I was also 5cm dilated for weeks before going into labour and had so much pre labour it was torture. However right before the real deal I had no symptoms at all just woke up to contractions and a show and the bam bub born a few hours later.
